CPD courses that keep your practice current

CPD stands for Continuing Professional Development. Our CPD courses are short, focused online certifications built to keep your professional knowledge current — covering topics such as safeguarding, GDPR, equality and diversity, health and safety and mental health awareness. They are studied entirely online, assessed by a single online assessment, and do not carry a regulated qualification level.

Accredited courses are accredited by The CPD Group, a Certified CPD Accreditation Organisation, and carry a stated number of certified CPD hours on the certificate. Non-accredited courses are not accredited by an external CPD body and carry no CPD hours. Everything else is identical — the same course build, the same expert-developed content, the same assessment standard, the same support and the same SBTL certificate of completion.

Yes, where your goal is the knowledge rather than a formal CPD record. They are written to the same standard by the same subject experts, reviewed against current legislation and statutory codes of practice, and assessed to the same 80% pass mark. What they do not provide is externally accredited CPD hours, so if your employer or professional body requires a formal CPD record, choose an accredited course.

The CPD Group, a Certified CPD Accreditation Organisation. Courses are assessed against their A.C.C.R.E.D.I.T.E.D framework, and the resulting CPD credits are trackable. Your certificate, issued by SBTL, states the number of certified CPD hours earned.

Assessment is completed entirely online through the MyLearnDirect portal, with no exams to attend in person. Each course ends in a single final assessment of multiple-choice questions combining knowledge recall and scenario-based application, with an 80% pass mark. You take it at a time that suits you within your support period, and your certificate is issued instantly on passing.

There are none beyond practical ones. No prior professional experience and no formal qualifications are required — the courses are deliberately sector-neutral and open to learners at every level. You will need a good command of English to engage with the course handbook and course materials and to complete the online assessment, plus a computer and a stable internet connection to use MyLearnDirect.

You have a 6-month support period from your enrolment date, covering full access to the course content, the course handbook, the MyLearnDirect portal and the Dedicated Support Desk.

Yes. We offer significant bundle discounts when you enrol on more than one CPD course at the same time, with a saving on a 3-course bundle and a larger saving on a 5-course bundle.
