Approved centres are responsible for reviewing and making decisions regarding applicants' ability to complete the learning programme successfully and meet the demands of the qualification. The initial assessment by the centre will need to consider the readily available support that can be made available to meet individual learner needs as appropriate.

The qualification has been designed to be accessible without artificial barriers restricting access. For this qualification, applicants must be aged 19 or older and will be expected to hold the following:

  • UK Level 6 Qualification or;
  • First Degree, or 
  • An equivalent overseas qualification. 

In the case of applicants whose first language is not English, then IELTS 6 (or equivalent) is required. International qualifications will be checked for appropriate enrolment in UK higher education postgraduate programmes where applicable. Applicants are required to produce two supporting references, at least one of which should be academic.

SBTL will reject an application if the learning materials for the requested interchange unit(s) are unavailable.

Learners are not allowed to make any request to interchange unit(s) once enrolment is complete.

ISO is a universally recognised international standard that provides principles and guidelines on risk management.
