QUALIFI Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work


This QUALIFI Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work aims to furnish learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to assist individuals performing emergency first aid duties within a workplace setting. This qualification enhances the learner’s expertise and contributes to their overall role within the workplace. It is designed to meet the stipulations for First Aid at Work as stipulated in the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1982.

This qualification prepares learners to

  • Assess an incident
  • Exhibit the capability to administer first aid to an unresponsive casualty
  • Offer first aid to a person experiencing choking
  • Understand the roles and responsibilities of a first aider
  • Provide first aid to a casualty with external bleeding
  • Understand the procedure for administering first aid to a person in a state of shock
  • Provide first aid to a casualty with minor injuries.

Learners must request before enrolment to interchange unit(s) other than the preselected units shown in the SBTL website because we need to make sure the availability of learning materials for the requested unit(s). SBTL will reject an application if the learning materials for the requested interchange unit(s) are unavailable.

Learners are not allowed to make any request to interchange unit(s) once enrolment is complete.
