Learners must request before enrolment to interchange unit(s) other than the preselected units shown in the SBTL website because we need to make sure the availability of learning materials for the requested unit(s). SBTL will reject an application if the learning materials for the requested interchange unit(s) are unavailable.

Learners are not allowed to make any request to interchange unit(s) once enrolment is complete.

The primary goal of this unit is to cultivate learners' proficiency in investigating both traditional and modern methods applied in textile design. Learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of the various skills and techniques employed in creating textile designs for clothing, interior applications, and installations. Within this unit, learners will also be introduced to pattern drafting, cutting, construction, and textile characteristics.

Additionally, this unit aids learners in honing their skills within their specific area of expertise, fostering effectiveness and confidence. It equips them to proficiently apply their transferable skills and confidently manage their personal and professional capabilities

The primary objective of this unit is for learners to apply the full range of skills and techniques acquired throughout the course. In the final phase of this unit, learners will be required to conceptualise their project and follow the steps of the creative process to produce a result. Learners must then present their final major project in a suitable manner and curate their work.
