The delivery centre internally assesses all the units of the qualification and is externally verified by IBT. A combination of coursework and assignments is used for assessment, and students must show that they meet each assessment criteria and learning outcomes detailed within each unit of the qualification to the required standard for the unit level.

Diploma Certificates will be awarded after assessing the candidate’s coursework and assignments. A qualified tutor will examine the evidence and make a decision, which is verified by the external verifier and passed for certification. To be awarded the certificates, candidates must pass all six qualification units. Candidates need to achieve a 40% mark to pass each unit. The achievement (pass) rates for this qualification are outstanding.

 

The major entry requirements include either one or more than one of the following set of requirements;

  • Any similar level 5 qualification.
  • Level 5 certificate in marketing, level 4 professional marketing, or level 4 in professional digital marketing.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 120 credits in marketing content.
  • Master’s degree with 60 credits in marketing area.
  • Two years of marketing experience in an operational role.
  • In the case of English not being a first language, the IELTS academic module with a minimum 6.5 pass mark.

 

Completing the IBT Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6) will help learners advance to the Level 7 Diploma in marketing or other relevant areas. Students can also enrol for the starting year of post-graduation after completing the IBT Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6). Learners can also start employment in any marketing-associated profession at an entry level if they have yet to gain experience in marketing or further their marketing career after completing the IBT Diploma in Professional Marketing (Level 6).

SBTL will reject an application if the learning materials for the requested interchange unit(s) are unavailable.

Learners are not allowed to make any request to interchange unit(s) once enrolment is complete.
